Coach Nick DiMeglio—Founder of Dime Strength
The Journey:
It all started in my parents' basement with a P90X DVD and a drive to push myself beyond my limits. That was my first real taste of training, but I quickly realized there was more to true strength than high-rep bodyweight circuits. I became obsessed with understanding what makes athletes stronger, faster, and more resilient.
That obsession led me to Springfield College, where I played D3 Baseball and earned my B.S. in Applied Exercise Science. After graduating, I gained hands-on experience coaching Division 1 athletes at Northeastern University. From sprinters to rowers, I helped competitors refine their movement, sharpen their mechanics, and unlock their true potential. My passion for training field sport athletes remains, but after entering my first powerlifting meet in 2016, I knew I found a new calling.
Since 2016, I’ve competed at just about every level, from local meets to the National stage. My Powerlifting career has had it’s own ups and downs, injuries I’ve had to work through, and PRs to still set. All these experiences turned me into a better coach because everything you’ve been through, I’ve lived through too. In 2018, I founded Dime Strength—a coaching system designed to take lifters beyond just hitting big numbers. A system designed to make you a more resilient human, that can handle tough times and still shine on the biggest stages.
The Dime Strength Approach
Dime Strength isn’t just about lifting heavy—it’s about training with purpose. Most lifters fall into two traps: following cookie-cutter programs that don’t address their individual needs or chasing PRs without considering the long game. That’s where I come in.
My philosophy is simple:
Push your limits—you’re stronger than you think.
Train with intelligence—assess your individual strengths and weaknesses and develop a targeted program for you.
See the bigger picture—your training should have macrocycles targeting different qualities throughout the year. Building blocks, strength blocks and peaking blocks, all layered expertly to lead to the biggest strength gains possible
Too many powerlifters break down over time because they don’t have a long term plan, neglect their recovery and try to hit new PRs every week. At Dime Strength, we use a strategic approach to ensure you get stronger and stay stronger for the long haul.
Why I Coach
I found my passion for coaching long ago—not just in lifting, but in teaching and guiding others. Strength training has always been a part of my life, but nothing compares to the feeling of seeing an athlete light up after hitting a PR or finally trusting themselves enough to attempt a lift they once doubted.
Coaching is about more than just writing programs, it’s about people. It’s about building confidence, breaking mental barriers, and helping lifters realize they’re capable of more than they ever thought possible. Being part of that journey is what drives me every single day.
